Amy McGlinn

Art Teacher and Middle School Advisor


Amy received her MS in Art Education from the Rochester Institute of Technology and her BS in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children from New York State University. Amy taught K–5 Art in Wake County at Olive Chapel Elementary and 2-3 year olds in a Raleigh preschool. Amy joined FSW in 2011. Amy is active in community outreach including feeding the homeless at Mercy House and serving as St. Paul Lutheran’s 3rd-5th grade Sunday School teacher. Amy is also a Teaching Artist for DREAMS of Wilmington, working with at-risk children through Arts Education.

Tracy Tertzagian

Physical Education Teacher


Tracy received her Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from High Point University in 1994. In addition to her experience as a preschool teacher, she has worked for eight years as a physical education teacher. She has coached youth volleyball, soccer, golf, and basketball teams. Tracy began teaching at FSW in 2004.

Sheri Lumpkin

Pine Grove Art Teacher


Sheri earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from East Carolina University. After assisting in the Sandpiper classroom for two years, Sheri became our PK-2nd Grade Art Teacher on the Pine Grove campus in 2014.

Anna Ritchie
Music Teacher

Certified to teach Music, K-12, Anna teaches all FSW students, Stepping Stones through 8th graders. Anna graduated from Meredith College and continued her post-graduate work at UNC-Greensboro and UNC-Charlotte. She is trained in Orff Pedagogy and she teaches students about music through singing, dancing, and acting. Anna has completed Yoga Teacher Training and incorporates Mindfulness practices into her teaching methods.

Ellie Schott
Spanish Teacher 

Building on her BA in Spanish and K-12 Teacher Certification, Ellie received her MA in Spanish in May, 2016. Ellie previously taught Pre-K English in Granada, Spain, using immersion, music, games and total physical response. She has led high school trips to Nicaragua and Cuba to explore art and activism. It is no wonder that Ellie’s colleagues describe her as high-energy, positive and patient! We are incredibly pleased that she has joined our faculty as our Pine Grove Spanish Teacher, teaching classes for 18 months through 2nd grade to Stepping Stones, Stargazers and Seahorses.


Jonathan Clay
5th-8th Grade PE Teacher

Jonathan graduated from UNCW in 2007 with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and Spanish. He has worked for several years with Communities in Schools programming events and mentoring students. After coaching our basketball team in recent years, Jonathan joined our faculty as PE instructor, 5-8th grades, and CARE Director.
