The vision of Friends School has led our community to develop an ethos that instills in our children the integrity, self-confidence, intellectual curiosity, creativity, conviction, and sportsmanship and service to community that we so desire for them. Charitable giving supports this vision. Charitable gifts provide resources and facilities that become the margin of excellence to set apart our programs from other institutions. Generous donations from parents, alumni, grandparents, alumni parents, faculty and staff, corporations and foundations support the Annual Fund (unrestricted gifts), and provide money for the school’s current-year operating expenses.
What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund provides essential, unrestricted, current operating support for the School’s budget. Unrestricted annual funds gifts are critical to the financial health of Friends School. The institution's budget is dependent upon these contributions to help close the gap between the tuition revenue and the true cost of a Friends education.
What difference will my gift make?
Annual Fund gifts play not only a financial role, but also a role of showing support. Giving to the Annual Fund is a way of showing loyalty to the School and endorsing a Friends School of Wilmington education. Each gift – no matter how big or small- is critically important. Every gift is appreciated equally when it comes to Annual Fund participation.
