Friends School of Wilmington has added 2.8 acres of adjoining green space to our campus. This wooded lot is an absolute gem that immediately provides our students with outdoor space to learn, play, and engage with nature. It gives us room for the entire school to gather for community events, celebrations, and fellowship.

Students, Faculty, and Staff Present MLK Jr's Final Speech

To commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day this year, our school community collaboratively presented selections from his final speech. Often referred to as The Mountaintop Speech, Dr. King gave this speech in Memphis, TN in support of striking sanitation workers. The strike was in response to the deaths of sanitation workers Echol Cole and Robert Walker, and reflected Dr. King's growing focus on economic justice.
