Science Olympiad Sweep:
Lower School & Middle School Teams Bring Home 16 Medals and a Top-3 Trophy
After a pause throughout the pandemic, we are thrilled to celebrate the many accomplishments of our newly reprised Lower School and Middle School Science Olympiad teams! Both groups competed in their respective New Hanover County Regional Tournaments this March and achieved truly outstanding results--16 individual medals and a top-3 trophy to be exact!
Lower School Junior Varsity
- Backyard Biologist: 3rd
- Codebusters: 2nd
- Ecology Experts: 3rd
- Metric Mania: 3rd
- Pasta Tower: 1st
- Thrill Seekers: 3rd
- Overall: 4th (just 1 point away from 3rd)!

Beyond the medals, what truly stood out was the camaraderie and sportsmanship our students displayed. The sincere hugs at the end of each event, the excitement shared in another team’s success, the resiliency shown after a stumble, and the joy with which they discussed their events. These little moments captured the essence of our students' incredible teamwork and enthusiasm.
Congratulations to all our talented scientists, supportive parents, and dedicated coaches. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and the way you represented our school. Your hard work, resiliency, and spirit have set a wonderful example for everyone. We look forward to seeing what incredible successes next year brings!
