Here, There & Everywhere! End-of-Year Trips Across the Grades

May kicked off with some big adventures for our students!

The 8th graders had an action-packed week of cave spelunking, camping, hiking, and white-water rafting at New River Gorge National Park. Our 7th grade class toured all the classic D.C. landmarks and lobbied for just immigration policies on Capitol Hill, meeting with Senator Thom Tillis’s office. Meanwhile, 6th grade packed their days with museum visits around Raleigh-Durham and capped things off with a Durham Bulls baseball game—where Live Grace’s dad caught a home run ball!

Closer to home, 3rd and 4th graders spent two days at Camp Kirkwood, learning about bugs, insects, and pond life, plus all the best camp activities like canoeing, archery, and a ropes course. And tonight, 1st and 2nd Ggade are heading out for the beloved Seahorses Campout at Carolina Beach State Park, complete with s’mores and songs around the campfire.

It’s been a jam-packed 8 days already—and we’re just getting started!
