Join us Friday, April 25th from 12:15-2:15PM (rain date Monday, April 28th) for a jam-packed afternoon of hands-on learning and environmental celebration at our Longleaf Center. Students will rotate through stations with their buddies, exploring everything from climate justice to composting! Here’s a peek at what’s in store:

- Garbage to Gardens with Sara Dousharm from NHC Recycling & Solid Waste Department
- Seed Ball Making with Jessica Stitt from NHC Soil & Water
- Plastic Ocean Project activities with Research Intern Jess Elliott
- Flooding & Climate Change Zines Exhibit curated by our 8th grade Language Arts students
- Native Plants & Pollinators with FSW teacher and master gardener Patrick Bradshaw
- Eco-Friendly Snack Station with dream team David Hoolahan & Theresa Schroeder
