We have officially named our adjacent green space the Longleaf Center for Environmental Learning - and we invite you to join us there as we come together to share stories of summer break adventures, meet and welcome new families and students to FSW, and set the stage for our school community to be a place of welcoming and belonging!
Southern Teachers is leading our search process for our new head of school for the 2020-24 school year. Click on the link above for the full Head of School Profile and shareable link from Southern Teachers.
Join us at the Longleaf Center for Environmental Learning on October 16th and March 19th for silent worship with the Wilmington Friends Meeting. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience a Quaker meeting for worship and connect with members of the Wilmington Friends Meeting.
This scholarship was established to provide a progressive independent education and membership in a welcoming school community to a student who identifies as LGBTQIA. Friends School of Wilmington values diversity in our student body, faculty, and staff. We understand that diversity provides benefits to everyone at our school. We are proud to support the LGBTQIA community and we are dedicated to providing a welcoming and affirming community for all of our students and families.
On Friday, April 22nd we will celebrate Earth Day on the FSW Campus. We are excited to welcome Susanna and Timmy Abell for two performances under the tent at our Environmental Education Center property. They will perform two shows - one for PK-2nd Grade from 9:00-9:50am and one for 3rd - 8th Grade from 10:15 - 11:05am. You are invited to join us for what will be a memorable performance!
Our virtual trip north to "visit" six other Friends schools begins Monday, March 28th. Register your family today and get ready to get outside, get moving, and log your miles as we make our way to Maine and the Friends School of Portland - all in support of the FSW Annual Fund.
