Afterschool CARE
A low-stress environment for students to learn, but, perhaps even more importantly, play!
Grounded in both academic support and enrichment programming, our afterschool CARE Program serves students from Kindergarten through 8th grade and acts not just as an extension of our students' day but also as an extension of our school's mission and values. CARE, or Creative Afterschool Recreational Enrichment, provides an additional opportunity for extracurricular exploration and personal growth. While homework and academic support is central to our programming, we also understand the social and emotional needs of our students. CARE provides a low-stress environment for students to learn, but, perhaps even more importantly, play! We hope to be a home away from home where the development of lifelong friendships blossoms.
New to this year's CARE program is a partnership with LEGO Education and the addition of themed brick building kits that investigate the world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) through purposeful, imaginative play. Each set includes standards-aligned lesson plans that incorporate hands-on learning, problem-solving, and creative thinking with age-appropriate design and team challenges.
