Morning SPARK
A research-based program offering inclusive, active, and developmentally engaging physical activity for students across grade levels.
Research proves that engaging in physical activity before school offers numerous benefits for children. Morning exercise helps boost energy levels and improves focus and alertness throughout the school day by enhancing cognitive functions and emotional regulation. To support the development of whole-child wellbeing, we utilize the SPARK Program to engage students in before-school movement programming. SPARK, or Sports, Play, and Active Recreation for Kids, is a research-based curriculum offering inclusive, active, and developmentally engaging physical activity for students across grade levels.
Our SPARK program is offered on a daily basis from 7:30-7:50AM for Stargazers through 8th grade and can be utilized by parents as often as desired for no fee. Drop-off can occur at any time during that 20-minute window and all activity will take place on the Preschool playground for Stargazers; the Lower School playground for kindergarten through 4th; and Francisco Field for 5th-8th.
